Aspartame (E951) is a synthetic sweetener. This is the of L-aspartic phenylalanine 1-methyl ester in the form of a white powder poorly soluble in water, more sweet than the sweetness of the sweetness of sucrose (from 200 to 300 times sweeter), low in calories (4 kcal / g). Used in amino acid, protein, carbohydrate-protein and carbohydrate supplements as well as in energy drinks. Daily intake by an adult, no adverse effects on health, should not exceed 40 kg / 1 kg of body weight per day. We do not recommend the use of aspartame in the case of heated drinks and food.
According to the opinion, not scientifically validated, it may adversely affect the nervous system (damage) and the development of certain cancers, which is reducing the interest in this sweetener, but despite the lack of 100% certain negative impact, a caution should be kept in the use of this synthetic.
Dosage: the lack of clear standards of daily consumption. The possibility of taking no adverse health effects (ADI) defined above.
