Trace elements, also called microelements or micronutrients, are essential for the proper functioning of the body. The daily demand for them is very small – for an adult, it does not exceed 100 mg. Nevertheless, their deficiency leads to serious disturbances in the system and may prove fatal.

The trace elements that must be present in the human diet include copper, iron, boron, zinc, chromium, cobalt, iodine, selenium, fluorine, manganese and molybdenum. Sometimes silicon and vanadium are mentioned among them too. The functions of the latter are not fully understood, but more and more studies indicate that it is involved in many important biochemical reactions. Held in disrepute and associated mainly with the therapy of severe mental disorders, lithium is also getting back in graces.  Meanwhile, when administered in the form of a lithium orotate, it is not toxic and has many positive properties.

Trace elements control the course of all key biological processes, act as cofactors or catalysts for enzymes, stabilize cellular structures. Their deficiency may cause disturbances on the metabolic pathways or initiate unfavorable processes, as a result of which the development of a disease condition is triggered. Our offer includes a wide selection of supplements that contain specific trace elements. They help to easily supplement any deficits.
