Vitamins, like minerals, do not provide your body with calories, but fulfill a number of functions that are crucial to the development and proper functioning. Often, additional supplementation and replenishment of elements from this group are underestimated due to the lack of direct, noticeable effects after ingestion. However, remember that vitamins are regulatory substances. They also are protective, stabilizing, supporting and activating multiple metabolic pathways and without adequate amounts of vitamins we not only inhibit progress of training, but also run the risk of losing health.
