Sodium saccharin, sodium salt derivative of sulfobenzoic acid, saccharin, a synthetic sweetener which is several hundred times sweeter than sucrose, non-digestible or absorbed, with a metallic-bitter aftertaste. Used with a combination of sodium cyclamate loses unpleasant aftertaste. It is stable in the metabolism of the acid-base management (pH of within the range of 2 - 7).
