The standard daily dose of magnesium amounts for 200–400 mg, that is 1–2 measures a day. It is recommended to take magnesium with a meal, preferably in divided portions, for example with main meals.
To increase magnesium absorption, you can combine it with vitamin B6, which increases absorption up to 20–40%.
As excessive amounts of magnesium ions can have strongly alkaline influence on the stomach, which impairs its functions (the natural environment of the stomach is acidic), the magnesium dose should be taken with a glass of water.
