Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is one of the fat-soluble vitamins. It is called the "sun vitamin" because it can be formed in our body as a result of skin exposure to sunlight. Optimal cutaneous synthesis of vitamin D mainly takes place during spring and summer, while from October to March, due to insufficient sunlight, it is usually reduced.
