This product contains two well-known and well-loved carotenoids obtained from natural sources: lutein and astaxanthin. Humans, unfortunately, do not have the ability to synthesize these carotenoids on their own.
Lutein from the extract of the Ascended Velvet is one of the most widely used ingredients for supporting eye health. Lutein is one of the main components of the retina, which is the part of the eye responsible for clear and optimal vision. It is also a yellow pigment that gives plants their brilliant color.
Theastaxanthin in this product is in the form of an extract from the microalgae Schizochytrium. Natural astaxanthin is much more trusted than its synthetic counterpart. Due to its incredibly potent antioxidant activity, it is sometimes referred to as the "queen of carotenoids."

Vitamin A helps maintain normal vision.
Vitamin E helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
Vitamin C helps regenerate the reduced form of vitamin E and protect cells from oxidative stress.
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) , when consumed at 250 mg per day (the amount in 1 sachet of VisionLipTM), contributes to maintaining normal vision. As with astaxanthin, the DHA in this product is derived from microalgae.
Also included in the formulation is phosphatidylcholine, the most abundant of the phospholipids present in lecithin. Its source is sunflower lecithin, not soy lecithin, so the product is also friendly to people with sensitivity to soy ingredients.
